about
On Their Sky is track 9 from SweetCell's debut album "Outer". It is an indie inspired psychedelic ballad with glimpses of Radiohead and Brian Jonestown Massacre woven chord progressions and narrative themes.
This performance of the track is a special one for songwriter Joel Keane, given that it took place in front of a big Evelyn crowd in the heart of Fitzroy, Melbourne. On this particular night, the performance was multi-track recorded by sound engineer Bisho Abdelsayed. Furthermore, on this night the band was comprised of 8 musicians, all helping to create the big SweetCell sound that the band is known for.

LYRICS
I want you to wake up on the right side of me
beautiful intention, wild ivy.
Come take my hand, soul of the earth.
Digg'n up the past until you know what it's worth.
Living in rows
Drinking from the river
Standing in a hole on their blue,
sky mysterious
Living alone
Dying from fever
Standing in a hole on their blue,
sky oblivion.
When the time comes, don't close your eyes
singing out loud, feels so right.
Give me your palm and I'll read you the words
Digg'n up the pine trees, in the world.
Living in rows
Drinking from the river
Standing in a hole on their blue,
sky mysterious
Living alone
Dying from fever
Standing in a hole on their blue,
sky oblivion.
